Tusar K. Desai, M.D.

Dr. Desai received his Medical Degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio and completed  his residency  in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.  He served his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Northwestern University  in Chicago, Illinois.  He was an Assistant Professor of Medicine from 1984-1991 at Wayne State University.  He has been listed as one of metro Detroit's top gastroenterologists in Hour Magazine.  Dr. Desai is the Director of the Gastroenterology Clinic at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan and is active in their teaching program.  He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology  and is a member of the American Gastroenterology Society.   His publications include articles in The American Journal of Medicine, Kidney International, Critical Care Medicine, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology, Cancer and The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.  Dr. Desai has contributed chapters for medical textbooks, including Medical Care of the Surgical PatientRenal Failure and Associated Disturbances and authored Life after Colectomy.   Dr. Desai lives in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
